A delectable melange of Hawaiian and Asian influences, the cuisine offers a lip smacking array of tropical flavors for foodies to explore.

WAI-KIKI Radisson, Gachibowli, Hyderabad: Decor

Replete with Polynesian influences, the eatery’s decor is quite intriguing. The space is aesthetically done with tropical flora oil paintings on one side of the wall and a huge Maori face carving on the abetting wall. The artworks complement the comfy furniture and abstract flooring of the joint. While the roof-hanging pendant lights are bewitching, the background acoustics uplifts the whole experience.

WAI-KIKI Radisson, Gachibowli, Hyderabad: Food

The menu predominantly comprises of the best of famous Tiki / Hawaiian cuisine.

The multicultural, inspired and inventive fare would surely tickle ones taste buds. We began with Hawaiian Vegetarian Skewers — grilled peppers and pineapple with spiced barbecue sauce was purely delectable. Polynesian Drummies and Polynesian Chilly Snapper were next. The first being chicken wings in sweet and fruity Polynesian style sauce, it was unique and tasted great. Snapper was more impressive and extremely fiery. Well-crafted drinks, served in a come-as-your-are decor, complemented the starters well.

Moving on to the main course, we tried the Huli Huli Pineapple Chicken – chicken cubes with mushroom, bamboo shoots and pineapple. Every bite of it brusted with flavors in our palette. The Thai Red Curry was equally flavorful. Apart from them, one must also try Moui Wowi Shrimps, Jalapeno Cheese Balls, Tahitian Prawns, Indonesian Rack of Lamb and Prawn San Francisco. We must say that chef Manoj Kumar did a commendable job.

For desserts we ordered Crepes Suzette – flambeed pancake served in orange triple sec sauce. Though I usually stay away from crepes, this one got me hooked to it. Equally impressive was Haupia – a Hawaiian traditional coconut milk-based dessert. It’s subtle, simple and fresh. Their menu is replete with a variety of delectable desserts such as Ambrosia, Chef Special Chocolate Island. In short, it was an exciting experience. Cordial service and moderate pricing too make Wai KiKi a must visit for foodies.
