Surya Mahal goes back several years to a time when eating out wasn’t considered a healthy option by local people. And it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Surya Mahal was among the first few eateries that gave Jaipur a taste of popular fast food like Masala Dosa, Pao Bhaji, Chhole Bhature, pizzas, sandwiches and Indian fare, as well as Chinese meals, all under one roof. It is also among the oldest fast food joints in Jaipur – and continues to be quite popular to this day. Conveniently located on the busy Mirza Ismail Road it’s a popular place for locals as well as tourists to grab a bite as they continue with their shopping or sightseeing.

Plus & Minus:
Over the years there have been a few changes in the decor and new design elements have been introduced but the focus has been on the food and Surya Mahal has always tried to maintain its quality. The service is quite satisfactory and it’s the kind of place where you tend to finish your meal and vacate the table for waiting customers… It’s a little like most usual no-frills restaurants that concentrate on giving you a good meal and don’t like to take their attention away from that.
Must Try:
People visit Surya Mahal for their delicious Chola Bhatura (₹190), Mysore Rawa Dosa (₹230), Surya Mahal Special Pizza (₹300), Pav Bhaji (₹180), and for the regular Mattar Paneer with Two Paranthas (₹240), Paneer Butter Masala 2 Kulchas (₹270) and Makki ki Roti with Sarson ka Saag and Chachh (₹270) from there mini-meal options.
