Since Smokyzz has replaced an Awadhi specialty restaurant called Sigri in the same hotel, some Lucknow hangover is still visible in the decor. A noteworthy feature of the restaurant is that the tables have a built-in fire pit frame topped by a grill.

This restaurant offers a meal comprising several courses of starters, soup, main courses and desserts, served at a total fixed price. Each course is brought on the table by the waiter. The focus is on starters that the diner can season with the dips and pastes served alongside, and heat on the fire pit.
Sweet Corn Chicken Soup and Veg Ministrone Soup, which tasted okayish. The Amuse-Bouche of the day was an appealing plated Pani Puri.
The Tandoori Chicken was tender and moist, well cooked. The Seekh Kebabs were soft and well-seasoned.
The Nawabi Chicken, a take on chicken tikka, was also well cooked and suc culent. The Tandoori Prawns and the Tandoori Mushroom had the earthy roasted flavour of the tandoor. The Fish Salt & Pepper was mild with Chinese style sauces.The Basil Paneer Tikka was firm and well-roasted.
Among the mains, the Mutton Hara Masala had satiny leafy vegetables which balanced the firm texture of mutton. The Tandoori Chicken Masala had a buttery tomato gravy. The Fish Masala was okayish. The Dal Makhani is worth having. The Mutton, Chicken and Veg Biryani were acceptable but not great.
There was a good selection of Indian and western desserts the Shahi Tukda is the house special, and was rich and flavourful.

Smokyzz is a good restaurant for those who like kebabs, curries and biryanis. The sit-down meal rather than a buffet makes this a relaxing place for those seeking an all-you-can-eat dinner.
