For most of us, the closest that we’ve ever been to seeing cowboys has been in comics and Western movies. There is something about the Wild West that is appealing; any place that transports you to that region and manages to keep that impression for as long as you’re there is noteworthy.

Decor:

Roadhouse Bar & Grill, the upper ground floor level resto-bar of Holiday Inn Jaipur City Centre, manages to create the cowboy feel quite well. As of now, it serves lunch and dinner. What impresses you immediately as you walk in is the sheer spread of Roadhouse. Also, the well-stocked bar and the overall ambience and warmth of the place are attractive.

Food:

Since this is mainly a bar, the focus is on providing a wide range of beverages. From wines to vodkas, whiskeys, and rums to your preferred cocktails, the choice is mind-boggling. The food menu has the right items that include salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and a mix of quick bites. What is also helpful, and a little scary, is the calorie count of each dish that is mentioned on the menu. So, if you think a Vegetable Burger (₹500) would be a guilt-free choice, you can think again because it contains 850 calories! However, the salads are easier on fussy weight watchers– Herbed Quinoa (₹350) and La Buffalo (₹350) are around 300 calories only. In quick bites, there are Tandoori Masala Cheese Straw (₹300), Tandoori Chicken Popcorn (₹400), and small plates that include Marwari Paneer Tikka (₹500), Khumb Pe Khumb (₹500), and Galouti on Ulte Tawe ka Parantha (₹800). There’s a range of pizzas with the highly recommended Genovese (₹600) and Chicken Tikka and Olive (₹650) pizzas. The food is well-prepared and good.

Plus & Minus:

The spacious and warm interiors set the pace straight away and you’re already in a happy state of mind the moment you enter Roadhouse Bar & Grill. The good thing about the sitting arrangement is the fact that there are separate sections if you’re looking to be seated in a more private and quiet area. Also located in one corner is an interesting cubicle for smokers. Overall, this is a charming place that will make your visit enjoyable.

Must Try:

Walnut and Roasted Leek Risotto (₹500), Tandoori Chicken Popcorn (₹400), Quattro Fromage pizza (₹600) are good to try.
