This is a no-frills eatery on Indiranagar’s Double Road.
It’s the sort of place you go to when you want a bowl of thukpa and little else, not somewhere to linger over the setting.

It’s a long menu for a tiny restaurant. Many dishes are variations on the same theme. Under Beef Momo, for instance, are listed Beef Steam Momo, full and half, Beef Fried Momo, Beef Kothey, which are panfried, Beef Soup Momo and Devils Beef Momo.
I had to try the momos, which seem more ubiquitous here than street cart dosas or bhajji-bonda. Peace Restaurant’s version of the Chicken Steam Momo (₹110) was average with tough, chewy ends. I shared a bowl of Peace Special Beef Thukpa (₹120) with my companion. The waiter asked if I wanted it spicy. I said, yes. It was eye-wateringly hot with chilli.
But the broth was tasty and so were the crisp slivers of beef, not too many of them — but that’s understandable given the pricing here. Pork is a specialty here and I had the Spicy Pork with Bamboo Shoot (₹170) with Steamed Rice (₹100). Again, there wasn’t a lot of meat in the dish, but the bamboo shoots added a nice crunch and an acrid twist. A mug of Butter Tea (₹50) is a nice way to wrap up a meal at Peace.
Service:
There’s one waiter who takes orders and serves and he does a very efficient job.
Plus & Minus:
This is the place for momo and thukpa fans. Meat quality isn’t great, but it’s what you get at the price here.
