This ice-cream shop has a glass front facing the Vastrapur lake. There are tables and chairs on the ground floor, and also lounge sitting in the basement, for those who want to sit and eat their ice-creams rather than opting for takeaways. The glass display counter showcases a variety of ice creams categorized as Flavors with a Difference, Indian Flavors, Spice Flavors, Fresh Fruit, Exotic, Sugar Free and Fun Flavors.

Since this brand is Kolkata based, some of the signature flavors use produce typical of Bengal like the Nalen Gur uses Bengal’s famous date palm jaggery as the sauce and the gandharaj lemon is also popular on the east coast of India. Rose sandesh is an ice-cream that draws inspiration from the popular Bengali sweet.

I started with Natural Vanilla which had a deep slightly smoky flavor, and then had the Chandan which is a cooling sandalwood ice cream with a subtle aroma. The South Indian coffee ice-cream has a strong coffee flavor that I like but this time it was too hard with icicles so I had to wait a while for it to soften. There are also spiced ice-creams that combined sweetness and heat like ginger honey, cinnamon, five spice and black sesame, and they even have the wasabi ice-cream for those who like pungent flavors that stimulate the nasal passage. The muskmelon, jack-fruit and black grapes ice cream are some of the ice-creams that have real fruits inside. Other specialties are mascarpone cheese and candied fruits, strawberry balsamic, lemongrass and apple pie. Milk shakes are also on offer.
