Food
Lamb Satay, slightly caramelised, is well made and comes to the table with live embers to keep it hot. The Baby Corn Satay, is well made. Spicy and sweet, all the taste elements reach its core. Strawberry and Mango Bubble Tea is interesting in a different way, while soothing away the heat. Somewhat like a chaat, but not quite, the Rojak Salad hits is mark, thanks to the chilli, tamarind, hoisin and palm sugar dressing.
Singapore Sambal Prawn is dominated by the Then, in quick succession, the chillies (including bird’s eye) scamper to show through. A small amount of shrimp paste contributes, too. Asparagus Truffle Rice’s aroma is all about strong truffle and gentle Jasmine rice. Can very well be eaten by itself or with the Singapore Chilli Crab. Finally, a trip to the ice cream cart willallow you to choose from any of the six flavours made by the chef for that day, along with sauces and toppings. Of course, a small taste allows you to choose your flavour and toppings.
PLUSES AND MINUSES:
The al fresco seating is well planned and lovely on a balmy evening. Summers are a different story, though. The food lives upto expectations and the ingredients, like pepper oil and prawn paste among others, make a difference to the final dish.
