Flyover Drinkery, Hebbal, Bangalore: Overview
The best part of Flyover Drinkery, serving North Bangalore, is the sense of space it affords. This high-ceilinged bar and restaurant sprawls across 10,000-plus square feet and opens onto an al fresco deck that offers views of the Hebbal skyline. The industrial décor style means there are exposed brick walls and a profusion of metal. Minimalist furniture is arranged to offer a choice of seating, from tables for two to spaces for large groups.
To drink, there are beers on tap, premium spirits and a range of cocktails, both classic and conjured up by the bartenders.
The food menu covers the gamut from bar bites to hearty meals. It includes everything from bao and dim sum to pizza, pasta, Oriental mains, meats from the tandoor, Indian classics and a selection of Karnataka dishes.
To begin with, you can nibble on Baked Cheese French Fries or enjoy the crunch and pungency of Jhaalmuri. Wings in various sauces – Buffalo, in-house bbq, South Indian Masala – are a hot selling item here.
A new menu has been introduced recently and, while retaining all the crowd favourites, offers news dishes such as the Vegetarian Galouti Kebab, crafted entirely from beans.
For main course, you can choose a satisfying bowl of pasta or the Classic Veggie Burger. I’ve eaten a very nice version of Neer Dosa with Chicken Curry here. You could end the meal with the hugely popular Tres Leches.
