Falashin is a cafe style restaurant that specializes, as the name suggests, in fruit based dishes and beverages. They have recently opened their second branch at Memnagar.

Set on the first floor of a spanking new building, Falashin has a brightly lit entrance that is easily visible from the main road and the parking area. The interiors are colorful with leaf patterns as one of the leitmotifs of the interiors. The walls are decorated with bright visuals of colorful birds amid green foliage. The juice bar stands in one corner and there is also a lounge like corner with settees and low tables behind a partition.

Fruit bowls are the restaurant’s pride and joy. I started with the magic bowl with crunch. The fruits were well-selected and the overall look was colorful, but it did not have as many crunchy elements as I expected from a dish with this name. Power paneer sandwich is a healthy one with loads of spinach and paneer, except that it has grated processed cheese as the garnish you could ask at the time of ordering to keep this off. Queen witch too has spinach and some paneer but the cheese, sauces and corn overwhelm the spinach which one would think would be the star of the sandwich. Each of their sandwiches comes neatly presented on a board with a garlic chutney, a coriander chutney and tomato sauce, and sides. There is a good range of salads, served in robust quantity.
Expectedly, the place has a large menu of beverages like cold pressed juices and smoothies using fruits, vegetables or combinations. The berry smoothie was nice in having whole berries not flavours or pastes.
