The cafe’s tagline says it all, ‘Fix Phone, Fix Hunger’ – Caffix is a retail store selling and servicing Apple products with a cafe attached. The cafe occupies the front of the store with tables of different sizes set along the wall or in the centre. Light fittings hang from a suspended wooden plank chained to the ceiling, exposed brick alternates with patterns on the wall, and planters lend a touch of green to the cafe. Displays of various phones and accessories remind you that this is a store where you can buy a smartphone, tablet computer,the personal computer and and relax over a coffee while your phone is being repaired or serviced.

This tech cafe is best known for its printer that adds beautiful high-resolution images and messages onto frothy drinks – the section called Sippin on Selfie offers cold coffee, milkshakes or hot coffee with the photograph, design, quote, logo or any visual of your choice printed on it using edible ink.
Though food takes fourth place in the cafe after its tech retail and services, unusual printed coffees and relaxed ambience, some of the dishes are pretty good. A special feature of this cafe is that it opens early for breakfast, which few other places do in the Vastrapur area.The breakfast items are available from 8.30 am- 12 noon. The menu is pretty exhaustive, including healthy options like a sprouted bean salad with lemon dressing to pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and egg dishes. The house special is their version of poached egg Benedict which comes with cream, spinach and mushroom. The breakfast bun is a fried egg topped bun with layers of egg bhurji, spinach and mushrooms. There are also Breakfast Combos – set breakfast for vegetarians, those who eat eggs, and one with chicken sausages.
The all day menu has some good salads – the signature Caffix Special has feta, watermelon and salad veggies with a citrus dressing, while the watermelon salad for breakfast has watermelon, feta, walnut and balsamic vinegar. There are also salads with chicken, fish or eggs. Expectedly for a cafe there is a good choice of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, small plates and sharing plates, but if you are looking for something more substantial than pastas, the oriental dishes and western mains are not bad.
