Cafe Boulevard – Boulevard 9 : About

Accessible from the lobby of the resort, Café Boulevard enjoys a view of the garden and swimming pool of the resort. The large restaurant has tables and chairs neatly arranged in rows, with pillars separating the areas inside, and a buffet area along the walls. French windows ensure the restaurant is naturally lit by day. At night, they often have barbecues and live cooking on the poolside next to the restaurant.

Food:

The restaurant has a good range of soups. We tried their version of the Chicken Lung Fung Soup, which was spiced with peppers and ginger, and had a covering of foamy egg white floating on the surface. The crisp and sharp tasting Tom Yum Soup with vegetables or chicken, and the Tom Yum Je for those who like fish, are recommended.
For starters, the Vegetarian Kebab Platter was excellent – it came wellpresented on a hand-held grill, and the paneer tikka and vegetables had the desired smoky flavour. The chef’s signature Cabbage-Rolled Fish had a basa fillet grilled within a cabbage leaf to retain the flavour which was subtle so as not to overpower the delicate fish. Stuffed Mushroom Cheese Balls is recommended for those who like cheese. Expectedly, the menu has a number of paneer dishes. Paneer Khatte Pyaz is a good option for those who like pickled onions. Cheese Kofta and Malai Kofta are among their other popular offerings. Nawabi Paneer is the chef’s signature, crumbly paneer is filled in peppers and vegetables. There are also mixed vegetable dishes like Subz Desi Vilayati and Subz Begum Bahar.
The Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka are popular, but you can also ask for Dal Sultani off-the-menu which is a rich and creamy dal made in the Awadhi and Mughal style. The biryanis are not bad, and they have pretty good khichdi. The menu also has sizzlers, pastas, baked dishes, Thai and Indian-ised Chinese. The Gulab Jamun is excellent, soft and moist, and they also have fresh desserts given the summer season, we opted for Mango Mastani which is a tall glass with many layers of mango, cream, cake and motley ingredients.

Plus And Minus:

This is one of the few places in Nadiad with an extensive veg and non-veg menu. The menu has mostly regular dishes that are common to most multicuisine restaurants, but you can ask the team for their specials.
