Summer has well and truly set in and it’s time to loosen up and unwind with a mug of chilled beer in a relaxing setup. The recent addition to Hyderabad’s list of Microbreweries is Broadway – The Brewery, located in the happening area of Jubilee Hills, Road No 45.
Broadway, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad: Decor
Broadway refers to the theatrical performances presented in professional theaters of New York, USA. Taking a cue from that, the theme of the microbrewery is well imbibed with a theatrical style of seating in levels, combined with traditional brewery elements and modern technology. They have both indoor and outdoor sections with quadra-pod tables alongside very large bar counters. There are huge glass panes letting in natural light, and the greenery around creates a nice, relaxing vibe. There’s also a wall filled with photo frames and graffiti art which stands out thanks to its subtle colors that put emphasis on unusual aspects.
Broadway, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad: Food
Their huge menu offers fusion food – a blend of North Indian, Asian, Continental, Mexican and some innovative new inventions, which might surprise you. To begin with, try the farm fresh salads like the lemon thyme chicken salad or strawberry fields.
My favorite was the poached pear salad with buttered lettuce, spiced poached pears, candied pecans and crumbles tossed in apple cider vinaigrette.
Alongside a varied range of IPAs from dark and light to fruit-inspired, Broadway is mainly well-known for its ales. The rich amber ales with top-fermenting and hops give these beers a distinctive aroma and pleasantly bitter flavour. If you are those who love grills, then this is the right place to be. From fresh sea foods to livestock, they have got everything covered. We tried the grilled whole red snapper and the lobster, and they are the best I had in a very long time, especially when paired with their craft beers.
Their pizzas are unique and would surely make you go back for it. They are utterly buttery delectable and flaky, yet quite filling with a generous amount of toppings of your choice. Be it pasta or burgers, or Indian fare, everything on the menu looks tempting. Some of the best items include chole bhature bombs, aloo bhujia fried noodles szechuan bhel, khichdi with katta, hoisin sauce and honey pork ribs, to name a few. Desserts menu is limited but worth giving a try.
