Located opposite the east court of Pheonix market city on Viman Nagar Road, Brgrmeister is an all-American diner. Apart from the Viman Nagar outlet, they also have a dine-in outlet in Kharadi and delivery outlets in Pimple Nilakh and Kothrud. Along with an impressive range of burgers, they also serve a wide variety of American and Tex Mex snacks.

Brgrmeister, Kharadi, Pune: Decor

The outdoor section at the entrance of the restaurant is nicely decorated. The seating is wooden-metal chairs along with wooden tables. The tables are interspersed with beautiful travellers palm planters which offer privacy and elevate the ambience. The indoor section has a high ceiling along with mezzanine seating. This space is welldecorated. Circular leather upholstered sofas, typical of American diners, are pretty interesting. The seating here is very comfortable. It is a mix of sofas, comfortable accent chairs and high chairs. The contemporary wooden chandeliers and other lamps provide good lighting.

Food:

Perusing the Brgrmeister menu made me extremely happy. With tenders, nachos, wedges, fries, wings, burgers, and hot dogs on the menu, I was in comfort food heaven. It is a well-put-together menu with loads of options in each section, particularly burgers. We started with Nashville potato wedges and American chicken wings. For the wings, they have a hotness meter and we picked Buffalo wings from the mild side. The wedges were spicy but absolutely tasty. They came with chipotle mayo and BBQ sauce. While the recipe for the Buffalo wings was questionable, the wings served were delicious. The chicken was succulent and the tossing sauce was very tasty. With 8 wings, the portion size was impressive too. An accompanying mayo or ranch sauce was missing, which we asked for. The parmesan chicken tenders were next. Unfortunately, the tenders did not live up to their name. They were dry and the batter was a tad too thick. The topping of cheese was mozzarella instead of parmesan which was rather disappointing. We decided to try their burgers and dogs next. We picked the juicy crispy Lucy burger, the chipotle BBQ chicken burger, the shroom and the New York

dog. The burgers were made with lightly toasted brioche buns. The chipotle BBQ burger, a signature here, was made with bbq chicken, chipotle mayo, cabbage slaw and pickles. The shroom one was similar with a crunchy mushroom and vegetable patty. Both these burgers were simple, yet delicious. The juicy crispy lucy was a bit more complex with the ingredients. A double-decker burger with two herbed lamb patties, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and slaw in brioche buns. The New York dog was my personal favourite though. Cannot go wrong with pork sausage (of course) in a soft bun along with caramelized onions, pickle relish, mustard and ketchup. While I love my ketchup, I would have preferred less of it on the hot dog. It overpowered the taste of the other ingredients. For desserts, we wanted to try the waffles, which were not available. We settled for the New York cheesecake which was good.

Plus & Minus:

Barring the parmesan chicken tenders debacle, everything we tried at Brgrmeister was great. A lone visit is not enough to do justice to the range of dishes they have on the menu. I will be going back again to try their burgers, steaks and other fried snacks.
