Bougainvillea, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad: Decor

The bistro / cafe is situated above Zuci Chocolates and spread across the ground plus two floors. It has a seating capacity of about 230 guests which includes indoors, outdoors, and two private dining rooms for more privacy. The varied seating options and the way they integrated elements of greenery across all the floors aim to give the customers a memorable dining experience. The live kitchen in the alfresco area also houses a pizza oven.

Food:

We started with a flavourful roasted broccoli soup with almond shavings, which was creamy and hearty. For starters, we tried the jalapeno cheese poppers, prawns tempura, stir-fried chicken in black bean sauce, and chicken popcorn. The poppers were delicious and cheesy but could hardly find any jalapenos. The battered and deep-fried prawn tempuras had a light, crispy, and delicate texture. The flavourful chicken popcorn had a crunchy exterior and juicy inside. And the stir-fried chicken had the right balance of flavours and succulent chicken cubes.

Moving on to the mains, we ordered a vegetarian tuscan pesto pizza, chicken khou suey, and chicken biryani. The pesto veg pizza was a delightful dish that combined the flavours of traditional Italian pizza with the aromatic and fresh taste of pesto sauce. The chicken biryani did let down the Hyderabadi in me, as the rice was too firm and very subtly spiced. Finally, the khou suey arrived which was equally tasty and a delight to look at.

As we were extremely full with no room for dessert, we tried their classic hot chocolate which never disappoints. From Italian pastas to flavourful Hyderabadi biryani and Japanese sushi to delicious desserts, they have something for everyone. With a wide selection of dishes, the establishment aims to take you through a gourmet journey across the globe.
