Between Your Buns has been operational for just over four years. This burger joint, with a quirky and unique name, is located on the Salunkhe Vihar main road and serves loaded burgers and appetizers.

This Salunkhe Vihar main road is dotted with numerous fast-food restaurants and has emerged as a ‘khau-galli’ of sorts. Amidst new brands launching and shutting down, Between Your Buns has been around for four years consistently serving their signature burgers. It is housed in a small shop on the main road. The seating is on a designated pavement in front of the shop. The set-up, with a gazebo and wooden tables and chairs, is basic but right for a fast-food restaurant.

Owners and friends, Micheal and Royston have curated an elaborate burger menu that includes a wide range of veg, chicken, fish, mutton, buff and pork burgers. What sets them apart from the other burger joints in the neighborhood, is this sheer variety of burgers, particularly the meat variants. It was difficult to pick the right burger as each sounded better than the previous. So with some help from Michael, we zeroed in on the sriracha chicken burger, sriracha fish burger and the Swiss mushroom buff burger. The buns are lightly toasted and the burgers are loaded with chunks of meat, condiments and drizzled generously with sauces. The sriracha chicken burger had three pieces of crumb-fried chicken coated with sriracha sauce along with pickles, onions and mayonnaise. The Swiss mushroom buff burger has a mince buff patty which was grilled to perfection. The fat and meat juices that oozed into the buns, made the burger extra tasty. The patty was topped with a creamy, herbed mushroom sauce. We paired the burgers with a large portion of salted french fries. A word of caution, these loaded burgers are messy, just the way burgers should be. Apart from the burgers, we also tried the honey chilly chicken wings. The crumb coating was slightly thick and the cook on the chicken was uneven. Some were cooked well, but some wings were undercooked. The unique chilly cheese magic mushrooms were absolutely delicious. These stuffed mushrooms had the right bite to them and they were cooked in a creamy and spicy sauce. The accompanying drinks, the mint iceberg and ice tea were okay but can definitely do with a zhuzh up. Their special of the day was the Chicken Lasagna which I got packed. Again, a generous portion with the right amount of mince, sauce and cheese between rightly cooked pasta layers.

Plus & Minus:

The wide range of burgers on offer is impressive. The burgers are humongous and the price range of ₹250-300, makes these truly value-for-money. The chicken wings and the drinks were slightly disappointing. I kept eyeing the pork section greedily and will definitely be back to try those.
