After starting out as an F&B outlet for the in-house guests, Mazzo has now open its doors for all. Eating here is a comforting experience. Sitting on the 10th floor of Jayabheri Enclave, the restaurant offers respite from the chaotic Gachibowli streets below. This rooftop fine dining restaurant with a poolside lounge offers delightful dishes from around the world. A limited midnight menu is also available for those midnight hunger pangs.
Mazzo: Marriott Executive Apartments, Gachibowli, Hyderabad – Decor
This restaurant has impressively done interiors that one would expect from any establishment of the Marriott chain. While the indoors chic and classy, the outdoor arena exudes a more relaxed lounge-like vibe. Patterned tile floor, birdcage lanterns swaying overhead, cozy cushions and an alfresco bar… all add to the grandeur of the place without compromising on comfort. The grandest feature though is the infinity pool that provides a breathtaking view of the city skyline.
Mazzo: Marriott Executive Apartments, Gachibowli, Hyderabad – Food
Mazzo offers a lip-smacking array of delicacies from around the world. The juicy Gilafi Lamb Seekh, a char-grilled minced lamb kebab seasoned with onions and peppers, was a great start to the meal. Looking for something crunchy, we opted for the threaded prawns.
The mildly-marinated prawns were coated in noodles, deep fried then threaded onto skewers.
The soft, perfectly cooked prawns with the crunchy noodles on the outside ticked all the boxes for deep fried perfection. The subz shammi kebab was next. It made for a satisfying bite with a delicious filling of cheese, onions and green chillies that added punch to the dish.
Teen mirch gosht, methi murgh and palak kofta with lacha parata and garlic naan made up the main course spread. The teen mirch gosht was the most impressive with a flavorful gravy and meat so tender that it was falling off the bone. For dessert, we tried the delicate khubani ka meetha crumble tartlet which did not disappoint with its subtle flavors.
“Wrap it up”, the restaurant’s latest offering lets diners put together a meal with a choice of one soup or a mocktail, a main course and a dessert.
No hotel is complete without a well-stocked bar, and Mazzo has more than just a bar. The rooftop bar along the pool makes it an ideal spot to sip on your cocktails as you take in the stunning cityscape.
