How Does it Matter is a smart restaurant with sleek furniture and fixtures,set along the ARA sports complex. It has both dining tables both inside and outside on a gallery facing the football turf and tennis courts. The scene at the sports complex gets lively in the evening when there are games and practice sessions on the football field.

This restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, from conventional favorites to modern twists on traditional dishes. Because of its long working hours, it has appropriately included cafe style dishes like burgers, waffles, pita pockets and crepes in the menu.
For starters, the Barbeque Medley has grilled broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, potatoes, bell peppers and pineapple, all of which are fresh tasting and tender yet retaining the needed crunch. The Middle Eastern Mezze is another good sharing plate.The must have is the Bacon-wrapped Prawns – the streaky bacon is crisp and has a charcoaled smokiness to it, and the prawns inside are pink and well-cooked. The tandoori platters, veg or non-veg, are also good. The Burnt Garlic Lemon Asparagus Broth, however, was disappointingly lacking the desired flavor. The Smoked Tomato Soup was acceptable.
Among the mains, the Roasted Lamb Chops were excellent – firm yet tender, meaty and juicy with the parsley and bulgur wheat giving it a Mediterranean touch. I also liked the sauce of the Caprice Stuffed Roast Quail but the meat was a little dry. Chef’s Mix Veg Stew is a good choice for vegetarians while Jain friendly dishes include Truffle Scented Stuffed Cottage Cheese Steak. The pizzas are also pretty good.
I enjoyed the Indian comfort foods like the Sarson Chingri Bhaat, Murg Desi Style, Mutton Kheema Khulcha and Balti Paneer.
For dessert,the New Age Bengal Shaan had a nice spongy mouth feel. The Deconstructed Black Forest and New Age Tiramisu to me seemed to be an attempt at trying too hard to be haute modern cuisine. The Panna Cotta has the desired smooth and slightly wobbly texture but is overpowered by the syrup.

With a nice ambience and diverse menu, How Does it Matter is a good place for international and Indian comfort food, but some of the fusion and ‘modern’ Indian dishes may not appeal to all.
