Roastery Coffee House, Jaipur: Decor
This is a special year for Roastery Coffee House as it completed five years this July. They have cafes in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR and bring fresh, seasonal coffee sourced from the best coffee farms across India. Roastery in C Scheme Jaipur is the fifth café by the group. Each of the cafes is different and tries to adapt to the rich culture of the city What draws your attention to this café is the excellent use of available space. Although the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating what stands out for its sheer ingenuity is the addition of a small baori, or step-well, an outstanding architectural feature to be found across Rajasthan. The baori has been added on despite space constraints, the design follows a traditional pattern and architectural elements, and what’s more, it is fully functional. The team hopes to use the rainwater for the cafe’s lush greenery.

The menu at Roastery Coffee House offers a delectable mix of Continental, Italian and American cuisines – food that you can enjoy as you sit admiring the baori. In appetizers, there are several interesting options – Onion Rings (₹ 190), Cheesy French Fries (₹ 224), Roastery Signature Zucchini Fries (₹ 242). Sandwiches include Onion & Capsicum Sandwich (₹ 229), BBQ Chicken Sandwich (₹ 284), and you can choose from a variety of burgers – South West Chicken Burger (₹ 261), Pulled Mutton Burger (₹ 277) and Aloo Tikki Burger (₹ 239). There are pasta and pizzas as well – Veg Penne Pasta (₹ 386) Chicken Penne Pasta (₹ 398), and pizzas include Farm Fresh Pizza (₹ 392) Mutton Keema Pizza (₹ 448). This is also one of the few places in Jaipur that offers Prawns & Fries (₹ 407), Fish & Chips (₹ 405), there’s Baked Stuffed Chicken (₹ 407). The beverages menu is almost as extensive as the food menu and offers a wide range of coffees and the menu offers more details of the coffee-milk-water combination.
Plus & Minus:
It always helps if the person behind any restaurant/café knows and understands the beverages and food on offer and has a passion for the same. This is true of Roastery Coffee House and what’s more, it is reasonably priced and the service is quick and neat. It’s conveniently located but what can be a little inconvenient is the limited parking available though valet parking is available.
